We know a lot is said about being good for Santa. We don't think we've ever known of such a thing as a "bad" child. Children
are, by their nature, good. Oh, sure, you forget to cooperate, get tired and grumpy, and sometimes do things you shouldn't,
but guess what? So do grown-ups!
It is important, though, to try to do good things, to try to be helpful, thoughtful, cooperative,
loving, kind-- the list could go on... And we know you are trying, and that's why we try to let you know we know you're trying by
leaving you a little something special on Christmas.
When kids visit or write to Santa the subject of being good is bound to
come up...
"Were you good?"
Let's just say I've been better than last year."
"Sometimes I was bad, but those times were just a joke.
Do you have to tell the elves?"
"This boy came over to my house and started hitting me. I can't tell you what I did, but
it was good!"
"Sometimes I was weak."
"Well, I'm a normal five year old boy."
Santa often says,
"I know you've been good this year. What did you do to be good?"
"I've been helping with the baby, but sometimes
he smells real bad!"
"I don't hit, spit, kick or plug things in."
"I saved up $50 and gave it to the church to help them
buy toys for homeless children."
"My heart is very caring about everybody."
(A 5 year old boy.)
